The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia with  opens the 2017/2018 Improvisionaries season with the invigorating sounds of old and new. Hear world renowned Norwegian Trumpeter, Tine Thing Helseth, as she improvises on Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto in Eb.  Oscar award winning composer, Elliot Goldenthal, will premiere a trumpet concerto especially for Helseth, with improvised cadenzas. Showcasing the Chamber Orchestra sound, COP will perform one of Mozart’s most beloved symphonies, Paris. This season opener is only the beginning to a jaw dropping year.
