Overview

After a sold-out album release for The Fisherman, Max Swan returns to perform a new, highly anticipated installment of the MONO//POLY Series, featuring special guest Suzanne Sheer. MONO//POLY is an event based around artists. Created by Max Swan in 2016 as an outlet for his production and musical direction/arrangement interests, each event features one or two artists whose music is uniquely arranged and performed on a one-night-only basis, using diverse instrumentation and different approaches to the artists' original music. The show format allows Max to work with artists normally out of reach, in an industry that often presents too many hurdles and criteria for accessing artists from all over, stopping things before they start. MONO is "one", POLY is "many", and each one of the performances from the past two years has been an exhilarating experience for fans and artists alike.

A saxophonist, vocalist, and producer from Philadelphia by way of Perkasie, PA, Max Swan channels influence from the likes of Stevie Wonder, James Blake, Frank Ocean, Donny Hathaway, and Sampha. Featured on NPR's "Heavy Rotation", Max's debut album, "The Fisherman", is a soundtrack to young adulthood, carried on the wings of layered synthesizers, drum machines, strings, and saxophone. On December 14th, Max will be returning to the Kimmel Center for another instance of his collaborative event "MONO//POLY", which will feature a special set from Suzanne Sheer, as well as a number of new songs Max has been working on for the next record.

Born in Pittsburgh but now residing in Philadelphia, singer/songwriter Suzanne Sheer is on the musical come up. Utilizing her Powerful vocals, she adds layers of vocal effects live during her performances that result in a blissful and dreamy concert experience. Appearing on records with Goldsmith and Wiz Khalifa, Sheer is constantly writing about her heartaches, relationship intensities, and day-to-day struggles as a hopeless romantic
