A thousand years ago, one boy with a dream of becoming a great warrior is abducted with his sister and taken to a land far away from home. Thrown into a world where greed and injustice rule all, Bilal finds the courage to raise his voice and make a change. Inspired by true events, this is a story of a real hero who earned his remembrance in time and history.
The movie is directed by Ayman Jamal & Khurram H. Alavi, starring Adewale Akkinnuoye-Agbaje, China Anne McClain, Jacob Latimore and Ian McShane.
The film boasts an exquisite score by world renowned film composer Atli Örvarsson, most of which was recorded at Abbey Road Studio, in London.
Bilal’s official song was written & Produced by RedOne and performed by Akon.

The Penn Towne Chapter of the Links, Inc. proudly presents the screening of the film, Bilal: A New Breed of Hero at our Magic Carpet Film Fest for young people.
The proceeds from this event will benefit the Links Foundation, Inc., and will be used to fund academic scholarships and community service programs for disadvantaged children and women in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area. Our transformational service programs, include, but are not limited to, the award-winning Learning Through the Arts and Links S.T.E.M, arts enrichment and mentoring/tutoring programs for Philadelphia public school students, and our novel life-skills workshops for families in transitional housing shelters. Each year our members give over 2,800 hours of service.
