Outside Sound is an instrumental Jazz ensemble based in Philadelphia and was founded by bassist and composer Chris Coyle. Outside Sound performs mixed media works in collaboration with artists, students and participants from varied (and sometimes under-served) communities. The ensemble has worked with such participants through workshops, residencies and performances that have taken place in the greater Boston, Minneapolis, and Philadelphia areas.
