Since its founding in 1970, Philadanco has built a legacy by breaking barriers and building bridges across cultural divides. Across the nation and around the world, the company is celebrated for its innovation, creativity, and fierce preservation of African-American dance traditions. Philly's favorite modern dance company returns to the Kimmel with an exciting spring performance, a part of the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts, titled Global Artistry. This performance features 3 world premieres and LABESS, a work the company premiered in 1999.
