KIMMEL CENTER ANNOUNCES THE RETURN OF THE BALCONY BAR @ THE KIMMEL FOR SUMMER 2018

 

Outdoor Pop-Up Bar with the Best Views and Delicious Cocktails Overlooking Broad Street

 

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Philadelphia, PA, May 21) –– The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, in association with Garces, announces the return of the popular, pop-up bar on the second tier outdoor balcony of the Kimmel Center. Balcony Bar @ The Kimmel will be open for happy hour on Wednesdays throughout the summer beginning June 6. The bar is one of the most in-demand locations in the Center City Sips happy hour series. The Balcony Bar @ The Kimmel will be open on Wednesdays from 5–9p.m., featuring Center City Sips specials until 7p.m.  Admission is free and beer, wine, cocktails, and select food by Garces will be available (below).

 

Guests at the Balcony Bar @ The Kimmel will enjoy free WiFi, music, and the best happy hour overlooking Broad Street. The Balcony Bar will be open throughout the season as the perfect complement to your summer evening, whether attending the Kimmel Center’s robust summer programming including the 2018 Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts (PIFA), and Disney’s Broadway hit Aladdin, or just making the Balcony Bar their happy hour destination.

 “We are excited to bring the Balcony Bar back to the Kimmel Center this summer,” said Chef Jose Garces. “We had a great time partnering with the Kimmel Center to launch this concept last year and are looking forward to serving delicious summer cocktails overlooking the Avenue of the Arts again this year.”

Center City Sips Pricing (Wednesdays, 5–7p.m.): $6 cocktails, $5 wine, $4 beer and half-priced appetizers.

Chef Jose Garces’ award-winning restaurant located in the Commonwealth Plaza, will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays, and will also feature daily happy hour specials. Guests can enjoy dinner post-SIPS and receive a 15% discount by mentioning the Balcony Bar. The restaurant will have a special summer menu available.
