GROUNDBREAKING ELECTRONIC VIOLINIST LINDSEY STIRLING INTRODUCES BRAND NEW WARMER IN THE WINTER CHRISTMAS TOUR, NOVEMBER 16, 2017

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Philadelphia, PA, September 25, 2017) –– Critically-acclaimed electronic violinist Lindsey Stirling will release her first ever holiday album titled Warmer In The Winter on October 20 through Lindseystomp Music / Concord Records.  In support of the album, Lindsey will embark on her Warmer In The Winter Christmas Tour which is set to hit the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts’ Academy of Music on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 8:00 p.m.  This brand new show will feature a fully revamped stage production with elaborate holiday themes as well as Stirling’s signature brand of dance routines and on-stage visuals.

“Lindsey Stirling is an incredibly versatile and captivating performer,” said Anne Ewers, President and CEO of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.  “In this relatively new genre of music, she weaves together sounds that audiences may very well be discovering for the first time, and we’re excited to tag along with our guests on the new experience!”

Lindsey Stirling is one of the biggest artist development breakthrough stories in recent years. An acclaimed violinist from Gilbert, Ariz., Lindsey has entered a futurist world of electronic big beats and animation, using her classical violin training to leap through the music industry with almost 10 million YouTube subscribers, over 1.9 billion views on her YouTube channel, 2 Billboard Music Awards, Billboard chart-topping hits, and sold out tours worldwide. She’s created a new music world where modern classical meets the infectious energy of dance and electronica. On stage, Stirling moves with the grace of a ballerina, but works the crowd into a frenzy, “dropping the beat” like a rave fairy.

Stirling’s new album will feature a variety of special guests including Sabrina Carpenter, Trombone Shorty, and Alex Gaskarth of All Time Low, and renditions of holiday favorites such as “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Silent Night,” and “Let It Snow,” as well as original holiday music written by Stirling.  Warmer In The Winter is available now for pre-order across all digital retailers including iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Target, and Pledge Music .  On Monday, September 18, Stirling made her stunning debut on ABC’s smash show, Dancing with the Stars, alongside her dance partner Mark Ballas.  As Len Goodman, one of the show’s longtime judges, put it, Lindsey debuted with the "the dance of the night!”

Other featured upcoming performances at the Kimmel Center Cultural Campus include: Essential Einaudi (October 28, 2017, Merriam Theater), The Brian Setzer Orchestra’s 14th Annual Christmas Rocks! Tour (November 17, 2017, Academy of Music), An Evening with Dream Theater (November 19, 2017, Merriam Theater), and Jazz Orchestra of Philadephia (December 2, 2017, Perelman Theater).
