Don’t miss this feast for the eyes that will captivate the whole family!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Philadelphia, PA, April 30, 2018) –– The Kimmel Center’s 2018 Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts (PIFA) kicks off with five, family-entertaining performances of Water on Mars that will dazzle kids. The eye-catching acrobatic act is three Swedish jugglers who have spent over 15 years researching juggling. Direct from Stockholm, Sweden, Water on Mars is not your typical juggling show. From June 1-3, 2018, the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts’ Perelman Theater will be transformed into a circus of dizzying tricks and gravity-defying stunts with music, acrobatics, snow, chocolate, tap dance, 400 roles of tape, and out-of-this-world airborne geometry.
“This years’ PIFA is overflowing with tremendous talent from across the globe. It promises to bring sights and sounds to our stages that we’ve never experience before.” said Anne Ewers, President and CEO of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. “As Water on Mars by Plastic Boom launches the festival, it is sure to set the bar high as the performers create family-friendly entertainment with a unique approach to juggling and acrobatics.”
A high-flying, feast for the eyes, Water on Mars combines jaw-dropping athleticism, eye-catching acrobatics, and has been praised by The Circus Diaries as “a pure display of extraordinary skill.” Warning: This show delivers an unforgettable multi-sensory experience, so bring your family.
The physical rigors are real. The back flips are bold. The fun is unrelenting.
