Membership Advance Purchase Opportunity FAQs

  1. Who is eligible for early access to Hamilton through the member advance purchase opportunity?
    All $500 and above donors with an active membership as 6/1/19 (quantities limited) will be eligible for early access to online ticket purchasing site.
  2. Am I guaranteed tickets to Hamilton if I become a Gold level member ($500) or higher?
    NO. Your membership entitles you access to purchase tickets before they go on sale to the general public.
  3. When will advance purchase member tickets go on sale?
    The on sale date will be announced at a later time. All eligible members will receive an email with the on sale date and instructions for purchasing prior to the tickets going on sale. The email on your account will be the email used to send the notice to purchase tickets.
  4. I am a Broadway Philadelphia subscriber and an active Kimmel Center member as of 6/1/19. Do I have access to this advance purchase opportunity?
    Yes, your 18-19 Broadway Philadelphia subscription entitles you access to purchase 2 additional tickets before they go on sale to the general public. If you are both a subscriber and member, you will have access to purchase additional tickets based on your membership level.
  5. How do I know if I am an active member as of 6/1/19?
    Click here to log in to “My Account” and visit the Membership & Giving tab. Your membership details including expiration date and current level of giving, will be listed for you. If your membership expires on 6/30/19 or later, your membership is active.
  6. What if I don’t get tickets through this presale?
    You will still have an opportunity to try to purchase tickets when they go on sale to the general public. General Public on sale will be announced at a later date.
  7. How many tickets am I able to purchase?
      • Gold Members and Platinum Members ($500-$2,499) will have early access to purchase 2 tickets
      • Founders Circle Members ($2,500+) will have early access to purchase 4 tickets
  8. Why do Bronze and Silver level members not have access to this sale?
    Due to high demand and limited quantity of tickets, we are unable to offer access to all member levels. If you are a current Bronze or Silver member, you can upgrade today for advance purchase access, or purchase tickets when they go on sale to the general public.

  1. Will I be able to buy additional Hamilton tickets as a subscriber?
    Yes, your 18-19 Broadway Philadelphia subscription entitles you to access to purchase 2 additional tickets before they go on sale to the general public. 
  2. When can I purchase additional tickets?
    The on sale date will be announced at a later time. All subscribers will receive an email with the on sale date and instructions for purchasing prior to the tickets going on sale.
  3. When will I get my Hamilton subscription tickets?To ensure the validity and security of your tickets, all subscription tickets will be mailed to you 45 days before your subscription performance. Printing at home will not be available.
  4. Can I exchange my Hamilton subscription tickets for another performance?Broadway Philadelphia subscriber ticket exchanges for Hamilton will be restricted. You will be notified when the exchange window of Hamilton begins, exchanges are not available after the exchange window closes.

  1. What is Hamilton about?
    Hamilton is the story of America’s founding father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first treasury secretary. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway, Hamilton is the story of America then, as told by America now.
  2. When will Hamilton be in Philadelphia?
    Hamilton will make its Philadelphia debut August 27 – November 17, 2019 as part of the Kimmel Center’s Broadway Philadelphia 18/19 season. Performances will take place at the Forrest Theatre.
  3. How do I get tickets?
    Single tickets for Hamilton will go on sale in the summer, dates to be announced. Tickets will be sold through Telecharge, the ONLY authorized seller for Hamilton in Philadelphia. 
  4. What is the preferred method to buy a ticket?
    Tickets will be sold through Telecharge, the ONLY authorized seller for Hamilton in Philadelphia, or 30 days before the run of the show and through the engagement at the Forrest Theatre box office. (1114 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107)
  5. How much will tickets cost?
    Ticket prices vary and are subject to change.
  6. Is there a ticket limit?
    There is a strict limit of 4 tickets per household. 
  7. How do I protect my tickets?
    Each ticket has a one-of-a-kind barcode. Sharing this bar code online can compromise your tickets. Do not share a photo of the barcode on your Hamilton tickets with anyone, especially on social media. Keep them in a safe place.
  8. How do I avoid scammers?
    You should avoid unintentionally buying from scalpers reselling tickets at prices much higher than face value. Only buy tickets through Telecharge, the ONLY authorized seller for Hamilton in Philadelphia, or 30 days before the run of the show and through the engagement at the Forrest Theatre box office.   9. Can I exchange my Hamilton tickets for another performance?
    Tickets purchased for Hamilton cannot be exchanged, upgraded or reprinted. All sales are final.
  10. I’d like to bring a group. How can I do that?
    Group sales are unavailable for Hamilton.
  11. Is there an age restriction?
    Due to some strong language and non-graphic adult situations, we recommend ages 10+.
  12. Will there be a lottery for Hamilton?
    Yes. The digital lottery will begin two days prior to each performance. Forty (40) tickets will be sold for every performance for $10 each. To enter, use the official Hamilton app, available for all iOS and Android devices in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store (http://hamiltonmusical.com/app) or visit http://hamiltonmusical.com/lottery. The lottery will open at 11:00 AM ET two days prior to the performance date and will close for entry at 9:00 AM ET the day prior to the performance. Each winning entrant may purchase up to two (2) tickets. Tickets are non-transferable. Winners must pick up their tickets at the Forrest Theatre box office with a valid photo ID that matches the name drawn. Download the app for official rules.
  13. Will Lin-Manuel Miranda be in the show?
    No, this will be an all-new touring cast, but it will be produced with the same attention to detail and high quality as the Broadway production
