“DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD LIVE!”
DEBUTS AT PHILADELPHIA’S KIMMEL CENTER

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Philadelphia, December 17, 2015) –– The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts presents the debut performances of the first national tour of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood LIVE!, a new interactive musical adventure featuring Daniel Tiger and all of his friends from the hit children’s show “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood,” airing daily on PBS Kids. The national tour begins with three performances at the Merriam Theater, January 15 and January 16. The live show is a collaborative effort between The Fred Rogers Company, PBS, and Mills Entertainment, with characters based on the Neighborhood of Make-Believe from the long-running family program, Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.
“We are thrilled to bring this imaginative production to the families of Philadelphia as the very first stop of this tour,” said Anne Ewers, President & CEO of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. “This live show, the endearing characters, and their adventures provide the perfect opportunity to introduce little ones, and their families, to live theater.”
Daniel and friends hop aboard Trolley and take the audience on an exploration of the vibrant world of their Neighborhood of Make-Believe, sharing stories of friendship, helping others, and celebrating new experiences. The live theatrical production of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood will warm the hearts of every generation as they embark on a journey filled with singing, dancing, laughter, and ‘grr-ific’ surprises.
