BREAKOUT GOSPEL GROUP THE JONES FAMILY SINGERS TAKE GOSPEL TO A NEW LEVEL AT FREE PERFORMANCES IN SEI INNOVATION STUDIO, JANUARY 15–16, 2017

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Philadelphia, PA, November 22, 2016) –– Bishop Fred Jones and his powerhouse family line-up, The Jones Family Singers, are taking gospel to a new electifying level at the SEI Innovation Studio with free performances on Sunday, January 15, and Monday, January 16 at 7:00 p.m. Bishop Fred Jones, along with his five daughters and two sons, infuses vintage soul, funk, and R&B in high-energy gospel performances that will have audiences clapping their hands and stomping their feet. The group is taking the world by storm with breakout appearances at Lincoln Center, New York’s City’s globalFEST, and the Kennedy Center, plus a critically acclaimed documentary, The Jones Family Singers Will Make A Way.

“The Jones Family Singers bring together three generations of talent to share music for which they are passionate,” said Anne Ewers, President and CEO of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.  “Our audiences will certainly be ‘keeping up with The Joneses’ clapping along to their spirited and uplifting performance!”

The group consists of Bishop Fred A. Jones (pastor/founder of The Mt. Zion Pentecostal Cathedral of Markham, TX), Sarah M. Jones, Alexis Jones, Fred Allen Jones, Jr. Ernestine Ray, Kenneth Jones, Sabrina Freeman, Velma Davis Theresa Patrelle, and Duane Edward Herbert. The ensemble has been tearing up churches and festivals alike for over two decades. In addition to their joyful live performances, their recent studio album, The Spirit Speaks (2014), truly displays the depth of their pure musical gifts, going far beyond their talented live performances.

This is a designated BYO event! Acceptable forms of BYO are 6-pack of beer and/or 750ml bottles of wine only; no liquor or open containers are permitted. Limit of one (1) 750ml bottle of wine OR one (1) six-pack of beer per two patrons. Corkscrews and rolling coolers are not permitted. Ice, cups and corking service available at venue at no cost. All BYO Night patrons are subject to lawful ID checks and bag checks at the manager’s discretion.
