FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MARC MARON – Press Release for THE TOO REAL TOUR Spring 2017
December 14, 2016 (PHILADELPHIA, PA) – Following a sold out show at Carnegie Hall as part of the New York Comedy Festival, his appearance on Joe Swanberg’s acclaimed series Easy, and the announcement of his role on the forthcoming Netflix original GLOW, Marc Maron adds new dates to his current run of THE TOO REAL TOUR including a stop in Philadelphia at the Merriam Theater on Friday, May 12th.
Tickets for the May 12th Philadelphia date are currently on sale at Kimmelcenter.org, AEGLive.com and the Kimmel Center Box office.
Maron is best known for his hit podcast WTF with Marc Maron, which continues to top the iTunes charts, averaging over 6.5 million downloads each month, with nearly 300 million total lifetime downloads. Following his historic interview with President Barack Obama in June 2015, Marc has also interviewed people like Lorne Michaels, Neil Young, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jeff Goldblum, and Keith Richards.
“I’ve been out working on new material 3 or 4 nights a week for months. I’ve been searching for stuff that makes me laugh and think and feel things. I’m excited to share what I have unearthed or stumbled upon or ripped from the jaws of sadness,” said Maron.
Maron’s praised stand-up special, Marc Maron: More Later, aired on Epix last year and is also available on Hulu, Amazon Prime and as download-to-own on wtfpod.com and iTunes. In 2017, Maron will bring his NYCF Carnegie Hall show on the road, including meditations on his family, his cats, relationships, music, the media, grocery stores, fashion and our current political climate.
His full list of dates is below.
