BROADWAY ‘BOMBSHELL’ MEGAN HILTY

PERFORMS WITH SETH RUDETSKY
AT THE MERRIAM THEATER

MAY 17, 2016

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Philadelphia, PA, April 27, 2016) –– The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, in partnership with Mark Cortale Productions, announces the next installment in Seth Rudetsky’s Broadway Concert Series, with the incomparable Megan Hilty taking the stage of the Merriam Theater for a one-night-only performance on May 17 at 8:00 p.m. Seth will perform alongside Megan as host and pianist for the evening. The show features the dynamic duo performing a myriad of songs, including fresh takes on classic Broadway ballads.

“Megan Hilty is the ultimate triple threat: beauty, talent, and comedy,” said Anne Ewers, President & CEO of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. “With Megan and Seth sharing the stage, there’s sure to be plenty of witty banter, hilarious anecdotes, and not to mention, the best of Broadway.”

Megan Hilty is best known as the 'Bombshell' star of the NBC’s hit series Smash. She has also appeared on Broadway as Glinda in Wicked and opposite Allison Janney and Stephanie Block in the musical comedy adaptation of 9 to 5, as well as a guest star on many television dramas and comedies. A wonderful vocalist as well as a gifted actress, Megan was last seen on Broadway this winter in the revival of the slapstick farce classic Noises Off with Andrea Martin.

The Seth Rudetsky Broadway Concert Series showcases Sirius XM Radio Star Seth Rudetsky as pianist and host, asking probing, funny and revealing questions of Broadways biggest stars. Earlier in the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts 2015-2016 season, Broadway phenomenon Audra McDonald joined Seth on stage as part of this series and this summer, Kelli O’Hara will close it out on June 14. In addition to his Broadway Concert Series at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, this March, Seth premiered his new Broadway musical comedy, Disaster!, currently playing at theNederlander Theatre in New York City.
