It’s Opening Night and the Gangsters are all here

Today marks a very special day for all theater lovers in the Philadelphia area…  it’s the start of the Broadway season! This season kicks off with a bang with “the best musical in town,” Bullets Over Broadway at the Academy of Music.Written by Woody Allen, this musical comedy follows the story of David Shayne, a young playwright looking to finance his latest work and who, in return for monetary assistance, agrees to cast a gangster’s talentless girlfriend in his show.

As if that’s not enough to look forward to… there’s more fun to be had at Opening Night before the show even begins. Come join us for pre-show festivities including performances by the Old City Sweethearts dance troupe, photo opps with flappers and gangsters, a 1920s car and more.

It’s all happening tonight at the Academy of Music starting at 7pm!
