ShowStoppers After-School Musical Theater Program

A fast paced after-school program for high school students in grades 9-12.  Meeting twice a week after-school, the program maximizes skills in theater, voice and dance while preparing for Showcase performances held in December and May on the Kimmel Center Campus. 

Entrance to the program is by auditions only. Please see audition dates and requirements below. 

 

ShowStoppers Summer Camp Musical Theater Program

A two-week day camp for teens in grades 7-12.  This quick moving program is perfect for teens who want to maximize their skills in theater, voice, and dance.  Make friends, gain confidence and learn skills as you work together with musical theater professionals who prepare you for a culminating performance on the Perelman Theater Stage.

 

 

ShowStoppers Fall Semester Audition Information

The program meets at the Kimmel Center on Tuesdays and Fridays after school. To request an audition, click on the registration link and enter your information. You will be contacted via email with a specific date and time.

Audition Requirements

Vocal: Prepare 16 measures of a song from a musical. You must bring the music or a track to be played. In addition all applicants will audition on a vocal Broadway work chosen by the staff.

Acting: Prepare a short monologue from a play or musical. Memorization and creative expression are a plus.

Dance: Applicants will be asked to learn and demonstrate dance combinations taught by the dance instructor/choreographer. Loose clothing and jazz shoes (if you have them) are needed for this part of the audition.
