Eddie Holman

Soul performer/Philadelphia native Eddie Holman is a soul and R&B singer whose biggest hit is, “Hey There Lonely Girl”. Holman worked with both The Delfonics and The Stylistics. British journalist Tony Cummings once wrote, "Eddie Holman's voice, an astonishing precision instrument which can leap octaves with the speed of mercury and bend notes into shapes unimagined by lesser singers, has assured its possessor a place in soul history.” Some of his other hits include: "This Will Be A Night To Remember" and "You Make My Life Complete".

A Celebration of Kenny Vance and the Planotones

Kenny Vance was a founding member of Jay Black & the Americans. He grew up hanging around the famous Brill Building, the heart of New York’s pop song machine, and started his first Doo Wop group when he was 15. After leaving Jay and the Americans, Vance formed Kenny Vance and the Planotones in 1992. Kenny Vance and the Planotones first came to be as a fictional band appearing in the film American Hot Wax (1978). Kenny Vance’s son, Ladd Vance, will perform with the original Planotones, along with original member Johnny Gale as a tribute to his long career.

More to come!

"Jerry Blavat is as 'Philadelphia' as the cheesesteak. He has been the heart and soul of the Philadelphia music scene for five decades." - former Governor Edward G. Rendell

"The Geator is as much a part of Philadelphia's history as the Liberty Bell, Mummers and the Phanatic. I grew up listening to his music and congratulate him on an incredible fifty years in the business and thank him for all he does to promote Philadelphia and our music scene." — Mayor Michael Nutter
