See the Jazz Orchestra of Philadelphia in their return to Verizon Hall in a very special performance with the acclaimed, four-time GRAMMY Award nominee, organist Joey DeFrancesco. Raised in Philadelphia, DeFrancesco’s musical roots in Jazz, Blues, and other musical art forms were established here as well. His music embodies the traditional art form infused with a distinct modern approach, just part of what makes his music unmistakably his own. A star in his own right, DeFrancesco has also performed and/or toured with numerous other renowned artists including Ray Charles, Van Morrison, Diana Krall, Nancy Wilson, George Benson and many more.
Jazz Orchestra of Philadelphia (JOP) is dedicated to presenting the highest quality jazz to the greatest number of people designed to preserve, represent and continue Philadelphia’s unique, rich jazz sound and tradition. JOP aims to become the face of Philadelphia jazz, establishing the city as a nationally and internationally recognized destination for jazz performance.
