Conductor Joshua Weilerstein has graciously agreed to lead The Philadelphia Orchestra's February 21-23 concerts. These performances mark his Philadelphia Orchestra debut. He replaces Andrés Orozco-Estrada who has regrettably withdrawn due to illness.

The program will include Brahms's Symphony No. 3 and Weber's Clarinet Concerto No. 2, featuring Principal Clarinet Ricardo Morales, as previously scheduled. Caroline Shaw's Entr'acte for string orchestra, in its Philadelphia Orchestra premiere, replaces Janácek's Taras Bulba.

Joshua Weilerstein is the artistic director of the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne; he recently extended his term until the end of the 2020-21 season. He enjoys a flourishing guest conducting career and has established a number of close relationships both in the US and Europe, including with the New York, Oslo, Royal Stockholm, and Royal Liverpool philharmonics; the Detroit, Milwaukee, Baltimore, San Diego, Danish National, and BBC symphonies; the NDR Radiophilharmonie; the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen; and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France.
