Overview

Triumph Music Festival returns to the Kimmel Center for its 2nd season.

The Triumph Music Festival - 2018 is open to musicians of all nationalities and countries. The mission of the Festival is to provide an extraordinary performance opportunity for growing artists.

The historic city of Philadelphia is the home of the oldest grand opera house in the United States, which was opened in 1857. Since then, many prolific musicians have graced the Academy of Music with their presence and historic performances, including Peter Tchaikovsky, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Igor Stravinsky, Arthur Rubinstein, Vladimir Horowitz, Enrico Caruso, and others.

The historical significance of the performing venue inspired the festival team to plan an exciting program, including performances by today's finest young students of the United States and acclaimed guest artists.

The highlight of this year’s festival is the recital of Russian pianist Artem Kuznetsov, a1st prize winner of the “Philadelphia Recital Prize” (Russian Musical Alliance of Philadelphia International competition – 2018).

Artem Kuznetsov started playing the piano at the age of 5 with his mother Anna Kuznetsova. Since an early age Artem displayed an extraordinary music talent. His biography was published in the book “Gifted Children of Russia.” Currently, he is a student of John Kimura Parker at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music, Houston, TX.
