Sittin’ In introduces audiences to new cutting-edge artists. It defies genre, often drawing from everything from straight-ahead jazz to freestyle hip hop and all points in between. There’s an unpredictability to the night, which we enthusiastically embrace! Sometimes you’ll experience a finely tuned set and sometimes you can catch a totally improvised show by seven people who have never played together. The awesome creativity, excitement, and quality always shine through in The Kimmel Center’s informal club-like setting, featuring early warm-up sets by some of the hottest DJs around. And, it’s free!

Marcus Myers & Ode To Omni are an eclectic group of accomplish musicians who push the boundaries of jazz. Based in Philadelphia, the group has managed to make major waves nationally this past year. With the release of their third studio album entitled Perception, the album soared to number 15 on the jazz charts during its debut. With years of performing under their belt, TV appearances, and a message that touches all demographics and walks of life, Marcus Myers & Ode To Omni are becoming a leading voice for a new generation of music that will bring listeners of various of styles of music together.
