Strauss Till Eulenspiegel’s Merry Pranks
Strauss “Dance of the Seven Veils,” from Salome

Three of the defining voices of the Romantic era blaze forth in this spectacular program! Liszt’s breathtaking Piano Concerto No. 1 is performed by an extraordinary artist hailed for his “enchanting, sensitive lyricism and hypnotizing forcefulness” (The Jerusalem Post), and masterworks by Wagner and Richard Strauss send the imagination soaring, from the lyricism of the Overture to Tannhäuser to the frenzied madness of Salome’s “Dance of the Seven Veils.”
