Chita Rivera is a Broadway legend unlike any other. With a career that includes creating the roles of Anita in West Side Story, Rosie in Bye Bye Birdie and Velma Kelly in Chicago, few other performers exemplify the tradition of American musical theater as Chita Rivera does. A singer and dancer with few peers, she starred both on Broadway and across America on tour in Chita Rivera: The Dancer’s Life, dramatizing her storied career as a performer. She is the recipient numerous awards, including two Tony® Awards, a Kennedy Center Honor, and a Presidential Medal of Freedom.
