LEARN MORE ABOUT THE JAZZ RESIDENCY PROGRAM

Composer and pianist Jawanza Kobie partners with Obie Award winner Deb Margolin to create “Bird Stories,” a children’s story by Margolin that uses jazz instruments and music to convey important life lessons such as acceptance and tolerance of others in a cheerful way. These new stories are intended for kids and families and encourage participation from the audience

The Kimmel Center's Jazz Residency Program is made possible, in part, by a grant from the Presser Foundation.
