Safe & Clean Commitment

We will always put the safety of our patrons, artists, and staff first. We are eager to welcome you back safely to the Kimmel Cultural Campus.

Based on guidance from health authorities and government agencies, we are implementing new safety measures.

Robust Safety Policy

Kimmel Cultural Campus is working with its producer partners, artists, and performing arts centers around the nation to develop the most comprehensive plan to keep our guests, staff, and artists safe.

Mask Enforcement

Currently, our doors are closed to audiences, but all staff and approved visitors entering our buildings are required to wear face masks covering the nose and mouth while inside. If, when the Campus reopens to the public, masks are still recommended by local and national health guidelines, we will continue to enforce them.

Healthy Ventilation Initiative

We use the CDC recommended filtration and are increasing the amount of outdoor air intake. We are ensuring our ventilation systems are operating to full design capabilities in order to maximize the number of air exchanges per hour.

Increased Cleaning & Sanitation Procedures

We will continue thorough and more frequent disinfection with CDC recommended products and special attention to high touch areas. Common areas will be equipped with numerous hand sanitizer dispensers.

Please check back for updates to our safety measures.

Public Health Agencies

As the health and safety of our community is our highest priority, we commit to meet or exceed the requirements from the experts at leading public health agencies including:

Campus Locations

Our Safe and Clean Commitment covers all public areas including entry areas, lobbies, event spaces, restrooms, seating areas, ticket center, stage & backstage, Volver, food and beverage preparation and sales areas, President’s Club and the administrative offices on Kimmel Cultural Campus. The Kimmel Cultural Campus includes Kimmel Center for Performing Arts, the Academy of Music, and the Merriam Theater.

Select Broadway Philadelphia presentations will be presented at the Forrest Theatre, which is owned and operated by The Shubert Organization. The Shubert Organization is committed to providing healthy and safe facilities for all patrons, performers, and staff. Based on CDC and state guidelines at the time of performance, protocols may include mask enforcement, increased cleaning and ventilation/filtration enhancements. More detailed information will be available closer to the Forrest Theatre reopening in Spring 2022.

Stay Informed

These protocols are based on the most current information available on sanitization and cleanliness for live entertainment venues as well as other hospitality / tourism businesses. As we move forward, we will continue to monitor guidelines from the leading public health agencies for the latest innovations, so we are continually updating these procedures.
