She’s a member of our FREE ShowStoppers program for high school, but Rebecca has been part of the Kimmel Center family for years… do you recognize that smiling face on the cover of our season brochure? That’s Rebecca a decade ago enjoying our FREE Grow Up Great program!
Special thanks to Rebecca’s mom, Sheryl, for letting us know just how impactful the Kimmel Center Education programs have been to Rebecca in a letter to our President & CEO Anne Ewers:
“[She] is indeed ‘growing up great’ thanks, in part, to the wonderful opportunities she’s had to sing, dance, and act with various Kimmel Center programs…those [Grow Up Great] concerts helped spark her interest in music.” Since then, she has joined the summer Broadway Dreams Foundation twice and “found her ‘tribe’” in ShowStoppers, where she has not only received first class dance and vocal instruction, but, as Rebecca told her mom, “the kids’ shared passion for performing bonds them despite differences in race, religion, and background.”
