Understanding Publishing and Licensing

April 25th |6pm-8pm|Hamilton Rooftop Garden 

Panelists: Deborah Mannis-Gardner (DMG Clearances, Inc); Nicole Shiner (Billy Penn Music); Michael Kealey (Motor Scout Music) 

The panel will look at the business behind songwriting through publishing and licensing of music. Discussion will cover sync agencies, music clearances, royalty collections, rights and ownership, and other areas that help artists maximize the royalty potential of their music. The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A session.

Temple U Early Childhood program

Temple University Music Preparatory Division and the Kimmel Center partner to provide the Early Childhood Music Foundations Program. Classes held in the Merck Education Center on Mondays encourage the development of musical awareness and help parents foster natural musical abilities in their children.

In partnership with The Philly POPS and the School District of Philadelphia, the festival presents a full-day of student performances and master classes.  The day culminates in a performance by the All-City Jazz Orchestra. In partnership with Philadelphia’s Office of Arts, Culture & The Creative Economy, The Philadelphia Cultural Alliance and the School District of Philadelphia, the Kimmel Center is proud to present the Annual Arts Education Fair.  Join us to lean about the many rich arts education possibilities offered by the Kimmel Center, its Resident Companies and other Philadelphia Arts Education providers. Please share it with the teachers in your networks.
