THE KIMMEL CENTER CULTURAL CAMPUS PRESENTS

ILANA GLAZER’S NEW COMEDY TOUR

HORNY 4 THA POLLS

Tour Launches on March 4 In DC and Visits Nine Cities Across The U.S.

Including Philadelphia On March 21, 2020

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Philadelphia, PA, February 12, 2020) – Emmy® nominated actor and the co-creator and star of the critically-acclaimed show Broad City, Ilana Glazer announced she is launching her new comedy tour Horny 4 Tha Polls beginning March 4 in Washington, DC. The tour will visit nine total cities through March 30, including Philadelphia, Seattle, Portland, and Oakland, among others. She will visit Philadelphia on March 21, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. at the Kimmel Center Cultural Campus’ Merriam Theater.

“Ilana Glazer has become the voice of a generation through her outspoken, yet relatable comedy offerings and social activism,” said Anne Ewers, President and CEO of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. “On our Cultural Campus, we engage our neighbors as a hub for conversation, presenting programming that is not only entertaining, but spurs discussion surrounding important community issues. Glazer’s timely stand-up performance enables guests to vocalize questions while uniting the audience together with thought-provoking content.”

Ilana can currently be seen in her debut comedy special The Planet is Burning which premiered on Amazon Prime the beginning of this year. She taped the special during her last sold-out comedy tour. The New York Times says of The Planet is Burning, “Glazer is taking a solo turn with this stand-up special, which includes sharp observations on anti-Semitism, sexism and homophobia.”

Ilana recently co-founded Generator Collective, a series she launched with the mission to gather people to talk and learn more about politics and government ‘without feeling dumb.’ As part of the HORNY 4 THA POLLS comedy tour, Ilana plans to host a number of ‘Genny Social’ dance parties in each city to get the public involved.
